Voting for the change

With multitudes of news papers and channels writing and talking about it, Do I need to write about it? I paused a while and said ' yes in my small way'. America voted for the change. The amount of adulation Obama got, close to frenzy, brought him proximate only to John F. Kennedy in the recent memory. The flash of Kennedy's picture on the news reel always evoked spontaneous applaus from the Indian audience in theatres during my childhood. At the time of filing the nomination Obama would not have imagined that he is going to inherit a legacy which no other president could have inherited during the past 70 years, a shambled economy . US positioning as world leader went undisputed, with the global melt down, following US finacial crisis, left no economy in the globe insulated. Apparently iron gritted, down to earth in approach, he appears to be the right man at the job. I wish him all the best.

Even General Dayyar was not hailed back in his English home land with nationalistic fervour, for the crimes he perpetrated on India.The amount of fairness and dignity displayed by the West in public life is miles away from our polity which is turning from good, bad, worse to filthy. It appears as though we are set to break the rules of the fair play in all the spheres of life. Hounded by the boundless greed, besieged by manipulative tendencies, engulfed in power hankering, decency is long forgotten word in our milieu. We do not think twice to to cut the branch on we perch (typically Kalidasian) if we are told that it can be used as a fire wood in our kitchen. We borrow the concepts from the west. We leave their spirit behind. We can always see there, a right man doing the right job. We see lots of professionalism, issues handled with conscience, good crisis management, compliance to the law ,straight talk, certain amount of integrity, grace in accepting the failure ! Uncle Sam cannot be underplayed. What is happening to United States of America is very important to the rest of the world. Whether sweet or bitter you got to swallow the pill.

But I have no problem, Karat is there to hold me tight if I want to take a punge to the the right. As our Chandrayan is there in the orbit, I declare that all our future "SEZ"s should be located on moon, as we can not dislodge any body from any where even for a good cause .
